Hello everyone,

I wonder if any of you ever thought of using a ultrasonic mist maker in your reservoir.

Video below is just to ilustrate what I am talking about:

Some years ago I had the idea of creating a big transparent reservoir on the top of my case and adding one of these, but I never carried that project out.

Small medisana cheap office/desk "mist maker". Took a few apart already, and that vibrating disk can be easily removed/moved. Just hide the PCB somewhere. But I also wonder... The mist will flow better with some airflow. When you get your air saturated, it will be just a thick fog inside your enclosure. (with possible lots of drops on the sides of your reservoir)

I wouldn't do it, because it adds almost nothing. Special effects are VERY limited, unless the mist can escape/flow away to somewhere. But considering it's water, and considering you want to use it somewhere in/near your pc... Nope.

Yeah, I hear you...

I will sketch something up.

I have one of these acrylic cases that looks like an ice cube and the idea was possibly to use this effect to fog one of the sides of the ice cube, maybe the top.

It would be closed, so the fog wouldn't scape. But I also think the droplets would indeed spoil the effect.
