There must be some knife enthusiasts here.

I bought some black knives from a independent discount store, they are fixed blade non brand name who knows where they came from type knives.

I wanted to use them for camping, slicing food, cutting sticks

but I always wondered when you use a knife and over time the black stuff comes off, are the knives safe to use on food?

What got me thinking about this is I found a great deal at crappy tire, and bought a set for $8, I may go back and buy another set just because they are such a great deal.

I found a great deal on Outbound folding knives its a 2 pack #175-6355-4 Canadian Tire for $8, regularly $25.
