I can not seem to get this right,

After I install a fresh copy of windows, I boot into Audit mode during the "Getting started" screen by using SHIFT+CTRL+F3.

In Audit mode, the machine logs into the Admin account.

I start customizing; installing Office, Firefox, Team viewer, WinRAR, Kodi, Windows activation etc.

Once I am done customizing windows in audit mode (Admin account)

I Sysprep /generalize by going to the command prompt and using "sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend" command and switches.

My issue is this: When I boot the machine, the user goes through the OOBE and creates a profile. Once on the desktop, the user can see the software that were installed in audit mode. But, some of the settings did not migrate to the new user profile.

I completely customized Kodi for example and non of those setting migrated to the new user profile. I also pined a few shortcuts on to the taskbar that did not transfer over.

I did some search online and can not quite get it to work the way I expect it.

Essentially, my goal is to customize Windows10 so that when the end user receives the machine, the user goes through the OOBE to create a user name and password and when on the desktop, it is ready to go to the users liking/specification with no settings adjustment(s) required.

I did read somewhere about the Default profile in windows 10 and how you have to create an answer file in order to 'tell' the OS to copy settings to that profile so other, newly created profiles 'copy' the default? Is that accurate?

What do you think?

I will definitely appreciate any input on this.

Use CopyProfile and make an answer file using SIM to make your custom user profile made in Audit mode the default user profile

idk
