I don't think it will harm the PSU in any way

works fine for light loads under 2amps. over that the PSU might feel it is in a bleed

as the sensing sends out a reference and something different comes back.

corsair will not RMA a PSU with 7v damage.. how do i know? hummm. but i was

using over 22amps of 7v current.
