Overclock safe?

Go to solution Solved by VVoltor,

Your motherboard supplies 75W I believe, 6-pin connectors have a max rating of 75 Watts as well.

So you should be fine.

I've got a R7 265 and decided to overclock it. I maxed out all the sliders in radeon overdrive, at max it now has a healthy 72 C but when I started up GPU-Z it showed that it was pulling 82 Watts. Is this safe? What is the maximum powerdraw from a six pin and the pcie slot?

if it is stable it is safe.   (not in the case you have got a custom bios with higher than normal voltage limits)
