Hello everyone,

Currently my computer is this *Click*. This summer i'm thinking of upgrading my video card to a GTX 1060 6GB and adding an additional 8GB of RAM. My question is do you guys think the CPU will be enough for me to continue gaming normally with that graphics card or should i go all out and upgrade the motherboard and the CPU as well.
P.S. The reason for not getting the K variant of that CPU was me either going for the K variant and getting a GTX 750 or my current config and i thought it would be better if i go this way.

Unless you are really sticking to Nvidia, I would recommend the rx 480 8gb instead. It's usually cheaper and they have almost exact performance, and even favors the rx 480. I do not think the cpu will bottleneck either the 480 or 1060. Love the color of the ram btw.

I think you'll be just fine with your CPU if bottlenecking is what you are worried about. I still have an i3 and I just upgraded to an RX 480. I know some people get pretty edgy about how much processing power you need but if you are on a budget I would just stick with the 1060 and ram.

Yes, I agree. I actually just picked up my Asus strix rx 480 overclocked 8gb model off amazon for 215 which is a hecko deal and it will probably last longer than a 1060 because of how it performs in DX12

The main reason i want to stick with nvidia is i use gamestream so i can play from my phone. And that was the closest to the current RAM i have, happily my ram is black and not that grass green color.

Oh if you are using Nvidia for that, I have no gripes. The grass green RAM is the most disgusting color I have ever seen in my life, but would love to see it put in a build correctly

Thank you for your opinion and insight of the power of a I3 processor.

I have nothing against nvidia and people's choice should come down to things like this. I just wanted to point out that I respect that you actually have a reason unlike most people.

A white/green build maybe will make it look semi-decent who knows.
