Computer has lost its mind

So I have a custom built pc with these specs

 

GTX 1060 Windforce 6gb

8gb ddr4 ram

i5 6500

240gb ssd

40gb hdd

msi z170 pro

About 4 months ago it would not boot so I changed the ram to single channel and it fixed it, Then last week more or less It started crashing in all my games and giving me horrible framerates. However FSX the gaem I play the most would not even launhc, I renistalled and it worked perfectly for an hour and then just crashed again. R6S works but is somehwat jittery and GTA 5 crashes alot. I Switched my ram to dual channel yesterday and that fixed GTA 5 for a bit but then it crashed again. I have the latest GTX 1060 drivers.

Well I They didnt work in dual channel and now they do. I will do a memtest

Possibly a dead motherboard Buy a new motherboard and power supply that should help

Doubt its the motherboard or and the psu does not affect performance

Well the motherboards ram slots might be dead

They all work though, just at different times

I don't think it would boot if they were all dead, unless they were partially fried.

they all get detected in the bios, I also get alot of insufficient memory fails. Yesterday i was playing FSX perfectly and Now I cant...

Maybe you could try reinstalling GPU drivers with ddu but if you can try to buy a new set/stick of RAM and if it doesn't work just return it (although it might be annoying if you don't have a microcenter or something by you)

Well memtest shows no errors, I will try DDU and I updated the bios.

ok I just ran 3dmark 11, The GPU is faster than the test I did a couple months ago due to drivers but my CPU is slightly slower, Also My RAM shows 8GB but only 1 4gb module

well for some reason after pdating bios FSX will run fine hmmm.
