hello guys,

my pc was working fine 5 days ago and i shut it down correctly too.. but when i tried to start it up the next day it didnt boot. i can hear the fans running but no any display on the monitor. today i decided to clean it up. i completely dismantled the CPU parts also took off the mother board and cleaned them and assembled them back on. and when i again started to boot it up. the same problem occurred. i checked all of the cables they were correct. i also tried putting the vga cable on the board(previously on gfx card). this also didnt worked. i cannot decide what may be wrong with it. nothing shows up.. not even the boot screen.. guys what had happened ? can you help ?

What motherboard is it? If its old, it might be dead.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but you dont know why. In this computer, theory and practice are combined: Nothing works and i dont know why.

Atleast i can manage Some things, like my current OC personal best.

If you have a speaker on the mobo, does it give off any signal? Otherwise, considering the age of things 775 socket, it might actually be dead. Otherwise, tried cpu in a different mobo? Tried a different psu?

If you cant enter the BIOS, then im very certain the board is dead. You should be able to see some information on the screen regarding booting and BIOS if the board would function. So if you cant see any such thing, its most likely dead.
