Yes it would be safe 5 to OC on that board and with that cooler, just watch your temps under load and keep your voltages below 1.4v.

As far as what to expect to hit with your overclock, there isn't a way to say it all comes down to the silicon lottery you could get a golden chip that will hit 5GHz+ with very little extra voltage or you could have a bit of a lemon which will only hit around 4.5GHz and takes a fair bit of a bump in voltage.

If you want to upgrade anything I would wait and see what Ryzen has to offer. It will be more money to spend but the Ryzen chips will outperform the FX CPUs by a pretty wide margin from everything I have read.

If you don't want to wait for Ryzen however I would definitely upgrade that motherboard, the board you have now is a very budget orientated board and the power delivery from it isn't very clean. The FM3+ socket is pretty old now though that's the only problem.

All in if I where you I would wait and save up some more cash and go with a CPU and Motherboard upgrade when Ryzen drops.

Overclocking is never 100% safe, regardless of the board you have. Doing it properly is time consuming so you really need to be able to have your rig down for a fair amount of time, the last OC i did took about 3 days with all the tweaking and stability testing.

You will get a decent increase for GTA 5 as its a fairly CPU heavy game Far Cry 4 not so much it needs more GPU power than CPU.

So what do u think should i stay away fir now?? Because till 2019 my study routine is very very intense only 1 hour of gaking per day abd absolutely no time to care abt anythung else, should i be away from oc then and inveat that money in ssd or ram. And will fx6300 and r9 380 hold up till 2019??

From what you have said I would say don't OC as you don't really have the time to devote to doing it.

What are you current specs?

Your GPU is only one generation old so you will have a few more years from that and your CPU while its an old architecture you should be fine for another year or two you will just have to adjust your game setting for newer games.

So i dont wanna go for ryzen as my primary goal for tgese two years ia atudy and little gaming. What u say shouod i ditch all tgese and get ryzen. Is it worth seeing my cindition as to intense study and little gaming. The ssd i wamt because i meed to study hence fast operations so as to not waste time waiting. So what do u say should i just go for the ssd amd external hdd and ram for these two years ??

I would stick with what you have get a decent capacity SSD and if you don't have 8GB of RAM get that as well, don't bother with a GPU bracket not really a worth while purchase especailly when you can use the money you will save to buy a larger SSD.

To give you better advice I need to know your specs as they are now, so let me know them and I will be able to advise you better.

Are you doing any kind of editing work or 3D modelling/rendering?

100% yes get an SSD that will give you biggest and most noticeable benefit in everything from daily use to gaming.

Take a look at other external drives other than the WD MyPassport ones, they are pretty pricey for an external drive, I have a Seagate one and its just as good true I don't have the encryption like the WD one but I would rather have my Seagate and some money left over for a Subway and a some drinking change for when I get the parts in to upgrade my rig.

Fair play on the GPU sag I can understand that, I sorted mine using a piece of 3mm aluminium and a can of Rustoleom Matte Black haha.

The EVO drives are plenty for gaming, the Pro tier is aimed more at enthusiasts and Pro-sumers.

Do you do any editing or 3D work on your rig? if you do then yeah a RAM upgrade will help however if you don't its a waste of money there is very little improvement in game with more than 8GB of memory.

Don't worry about the RAM then you have plenty for gaming and web browsing.

As far as external drives go unless you plan on having that as a storage device for media 1TB is a tad excessive IMO, if you need a back up for your work use google drive or get a 32GB USB drive and keep it somewhere safe and use the money you have saved to get a larger capacity SSD or get a 120GB for your boot drive and then get a second 120 or 250GB for a fast game drive. The other option is grab the biggest SSD you can afford and there's the boot and game drive, windows takes 60GB+ before drivers and other programs then GTA 5 is a large game and Far Cry 4 again takes a lot of space. Sandisk, Crucail and Kingston make some pretty dam good SSD's as well so I would have a look into them, they are cheaper than Samsung as well so you will be able to get a larger capacity drive for less than the equivalent Samsung drive.

Sorry got my sizes mixed up, your right it is around the 25GB mark. My old install of windows 7 was around the 60GB mark with all the extra crap I had in the folder as well, I had set the directory for drivers to that folder.

So your going to need a 250GB minimum SSD as I have said though the larger capacity drives are worth looking into as you will have more space for games and other programs.

Actually all other games i will put in my hdd. These two are my most favourite. I guess out of 250gb i will get 230 gb free. Gta5 is 70 gb fc4 is 40 ,oho also ca go is 10 gb and truck simulator is 20 gb and my is with all startup apps will be 40 gig hence total 190 gb and its reckmmended to keep 30 gb free so 230 minus 180. Is 50 gb will be free. I think thats fine enough right??
