I just finished picking the parts for this build that will be for my girlfriend's mom. It is going to be used for basically web browsing or just a little bit more that that like watching videos.

The build is this: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/miky26/saved/#view=bhxVnQ

The budget is around 300$ and I was thinking that this might be the best I can get. Do you guys have any pieces of advice you can give me? Is there a way I can throw a better (i3 at least) CPU in a system for around the same price in your opinion?

Thank you for your time

No need for an aftermarket CPU cooler and get the Pentium G4620 instead.

Why?

Because the Pentium G4620 is better in almost every way and uses Intel's new architecture (Kaby Lake).

Why? A build with the 4620 will go way out of the set budget, wouldn't it?

If you drop the CPU cooler then that will be fine (just use the stock cooler).

As I said before an aftermarket cooler for this CPU is pointless.

Why did you go for that motherboard rather than the https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3Zwqqs/msi-motherboard-h110mprod ? Wouldn't it be better to spend those money in a gpu (even thinking about future proof) ?

the g4560 is a kaby lake CPU, there is no guarantee that it will work on an h110. You would need to update the bios at least but that would require a skylake cpu. Currently this is the cheapest 2xx motherboard.

I can take that out or in, that's not a big deal. It's about 15 $. Even though I definitely see your point.

Save some money by just using the stock one.

Ok, so, at this point I have one final question. Would I be better off using this, rather big, case or go for something smaller?
