XFX or ASUS ?

Mukessh

Hey guys . I'm looking to buy a R9 290 . I heard XFX has lifetime warranty which is brilliant , but I don't seem to see many people using XFX . What do you guys think I should get ?

Is it the stock cooler or aftermarket one?

ASUS

They have better warranties and you can raise the voltage for OC'ing  (XFX locks theirs)

If they are both reference coolers, just go with the XFX one since it has lifetime warranty. :)

Don't forget that the XFX lifetime warranty only covers some supported country, XFX only come with standard warranty in my country.

Power color and galaxy and biostar

Don't be a troll, do you know how you are being one because biostar doesn't make GPUs

XFX does have lifetime warranty but remember to register your card within the first thirty days....this is a requirement per XFX.

Go with whichever reference Radeon R9 290 is cheapest. If you are going to purchase one with an aftermarket cooler then you want to look at Asus, Sapphire, Gigabyte, MSI, or HIS.

I had good customer service with my RMA on my XFX 7970, so I would recommend them for reference, I would go with ASUS for non reference since XFX has pretty bad coolers compared to direct CUII

If you intend to crossfire, be cautious of the new XFX....they have recessed the fingers back further than the shroud. Other than that, they have improved their cooling solution....good luck.
