I mean, I have no idea if you'd ever go this route. But you can buy some really nice boards really cheap on ebay with bent CPU socket pins, then just repair them.

 

Everyone was telling me that its a dumb idea since I'll bend them so I'd have wasted money on it, but I think I know more about metal fatigue than they do since they make such absurd claims.

 

Regardless the mobo I ordered is coming on Tuesday, and I promised a guy on this forum I'll show the repair progress. So if you want to tune in and see if you'd go this route, go ahead.

 

Otherwise, what's the RAM you're going with?
