Hi guys,

today I wanted to start my computer (look into my profile for more details please) but its beeping like 1x long, 2x short, which means GPU error. At first I thought my GPU is broken, but because it's in its warranty that would not be a big deal. However, this GPU works fine in another computer. I think my mainboard died (but not while the computer was turned on? Does that make sense?) OR the power supply is broken. BUT, it's a Thermaltake Hamburg 530W and I think this only just got one 12V phase, so either nothing should work or everything is fine. Am I right here? The GPU fans are working and the LED breathing also works.

What do you think? Mainboard broken, eh? I don't really want to swap out the power supply because it's just a HUGE pain in the ass, because I have to remove my CPU cooler then... I thought about putting a secondary power supply "in" there for testing purposes, only for the GPU, but I'm scared that I kill everything. Also, it's not possible to try the second PCIe connector because my GPU doesn't fit there...

I could try my roommates GTX 690, which I probably will, but I don't really think this will work.

Greets,

Andy

Try another GPU in your PC. I'm not convinced if the board died that it would throw a GPU fault. Just disconnect your current PSU, and do as you say if the other GPU doesn't work

Okay, my roommates 690 doesn't work, too. Unfortunately it's also too long to put it into the second PCIe slot (due to custom cooler) :(

I have access to a GTX 550ti and I will try that one soon, first my car has to be fixed :( Wy iz evrythin brekin now :(

Big trollz from ASUS here, they changed the beep codes. 1x long 2x short is memory error. Took out all sticks, put them back in, works perfectly fine. Wtf? ASUS y u do diz?

They might have changed the BIOS manufacturer-though I don't know why they would.
