headphones mod help

bgibbz

So I had an idea for a project earlier today. I'm a big skier, so I was thinking about trying to mod my ski helmet into headphones in a sense. Essentially, I want to add in basic in line mic, drivers, and controls into the helmet. I have a set of beats studios that a friend gave me a little while ago, and I have no plans on actually using them, so how easy would it be to gut them? I'm thinking I can retrofit the inline mic and drivers, but my biggest concern is that the headphones have an adaptive noise canceling unit built in, rendering the headphones useless when the internal battery isn't charged. I really don't want my finished mod to have to rely on being charged, so would I be able to just bypass the adaptive noice canceling? If this isn't possible, where might I source some decent drivers?
