Samsung 840 Pro still worth it

StealthArsenal

Hello all,

Just looking for some feedback as whether or not the 840 Pro is still considered a relevant SSD compared to the newer models out right now.  Specifically when compared to the 850 EVO or Crucial BX300  The reason I pose this is question has to do with potentially purchasing a second hand 840 Pro 512gb for around $100 USD with well below 300 hours of power on time.  I currently have a couple of 850 EVO 500gb drives and a Hyper X240gb in my rig.  I wanted to add a little bit more storage SSD wise, but wasn't really sure on the 840 Pro or just buying a Crucial BX300 525gb.  My friend Google would seems to indicate the 850 Evo and BX were better drives, but I am not 100-percent sold on that and figured I would ask here.

Thanks

Yes definitely. You will lose out on some performance but that is a good deal
