Keyboard causing overcurrent.

So I had a 20euro keyboard for my pc(Custom build on a msi 970 gaming mobo, windows 7) Had been using the rig with no issues for months but one day the keyboard turned off and when i reset the pc i got the error messege "overcurrent has been detected on usb device, the sytem will shut down in 15 seconds". So i tried to reset a few times, unplugged the usb devices i didnt need, switched them around to different ports etc. but got nothing. The pc will boot up fine if the keyboard is unpluggged. So I assumed it was my cheape keyboard. Bought a new one, turned on the pc, the leds on the new keyboard lit up for about a minute and i was messing with the settings ad then gone. Leds turn off, keyboard not detected and when I restart the pc I'm back to square one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
