Audio jack issue after cleaning!

Go to solution Solved by Mcmole,

make sure you plugged in the HD Audio cord and not the AC ' 97 cord, they look basically identical.

Also if you happen to have your motherboards user manual check to see if you plugging it into the correct pin set on the motherboard. the book will tell you the position or just check online for your motherboard model and download the manual.

Hello everyone,

So I built this rig in April 2016 and figured I'd clean it today. And so in the process I cleaned up a bunch of wiring, unplugged and replugged majority of the stuff (tried to avoid mother board but had to unplug and replug HD audio and the other one to its right, not sure what that was...actually was probably the USB plugin).

Got everything else working just fine but the front headphone Jack does NOT and probably the front mic too.  Any ideas what could be wrong here? I know it's not a software issue because the computer doesn't even recognize headphones being plugged in, used to work flawlessly before.

PS: the rear audio jack works fine and the front usb insert work too.
