Hello fellow PC guys, I recently got a new to me Motherboard and CPU. (Core i3) and I'm trying to install windows 10 onto the hard drive I have. Since my mobo isn't USB bootable, I'm using a Win. 10 DVD. The pc recognizes the Windows disk, but when it gets to a certain point, it blue screens saying "ACPI.sys" or "MemoryManagement" errors. I have tried booting from other OS's and Linux Mint didn't work either. I am out of ideas at this point. Does anyone know what to do?

Well the cpu could possibly not be getting enough power. Another problem is that ACPI is usually a PnP (Plug in play) issue, so maybe one of your motherboards drivers are faulty or just not set correctly. Try going to your BIOS settings and making sure everything is configured properly.

I believe that the CPU is okay power wise, I have a 600B Psu from EVGA. Also, my Mobo settings seem to be in ship-shape as well.

Hey! Sorry I'm so late in responding, the i3 is a 550, and the motherboard is from some crappy pre-built Acer PC. I kinda just trashed the idea of trying to get it to work, because I got the parts for free. I was planning on giving it to my dad for a PC upgrade, because his is an old Dell inspiron. BUT, it doesn't really matter all that much. Thanks a ton for the help though!

This is an idea more than a solution. try pulling out the GPU and use the onboard graphics controller and see if you can install windows like that. If that doesn't work see if your motherboard needs a bios update. The issue that is being presented is odd surprisingly especially if all of the equipment is new. The only thing I can say past that is it may be possible that one of your things may be on the frits and you may need to get it replaced. What that thing is, is beyond me. I hope I could of been of some help.

Hey man, I really appreciate the help. I decided that it wasn't really worth the trouble, as the motherboard doesn't even have a brand name on it. I got the Mobo and CPU from a trashed Acer PC that my friend used to use. No worries though, I did keep the CPU, and again, Thanks a ton for the help!
