pc sometimes refuses to boot

Hey guys,

had posted this recently:

Problem basically is, that my pc randomly does not boot, it goes past bios or sometimes goes just before showing the login screen, but then refuses to give any signal to the monitor. and more recently, it even bugged at the bios startup screen, it simply froze at that stage. Note: I changed the DP cable and nothing changed.

The gigabyte supports answer was faulty psu, he said, it might sth in the psu that does not get triggered at startup and blocks any further action, but be quiet! support basically says, when it comes that far, it is not the fault of the psu anymore (allthough they offered me to send them the psu, check it for free and eventually get a replacement unit, which I might to just to be safe, but it doesn't make sense IMHO)

Any more ideas what to check or do? Am I right with my guess on faulty or buggy motherboard?

Unplug any USB devices and try again.  I had a joy stick and a Thunderbolt 3 connected to my computer that would cause it to hang at code 62.  Unplugged them both an it boots fine now.

Not sure which it was (Probably the Tbolt) but it cleared the issue.

Nope, that does not work, this was one of the first things i tried

Well never tried that, but if i now unplug it during that phase and plug it back in, signal does not come either

Interesting, because I had a similar issue and a new DP cable fixed it. Which cable are you using? Also try HDMI and see how that goes.
