Win 10: Constant screen flashes and audio problem

Audio randomly quits working. I have to disable then re-enable my audio device for it to work again, sometimes I have to do it a few times for it to work. Secondly, main display keeps randomly flashing to black screen for no more than 3 seconds. Sometimes several times in a row or moderate intervals. Super annoying while online gaming. I've reinstalled windows and corresponding drivers for audio and my display. I thought that would do the trick, nope. First it was the sound, then the display started acting up. Running latest version of 10 pro. Was there a bad update I'm unaware of? Don't like all this updating crap.
