Hello,

I would like to add more RAM to my computer. I am thinking about this RAM kit: G.Skill DDR4 Ripjaws4 F4-3000C15Q-32GRBB (link: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15q-32grbb). According to "QVL" section on G.Skill web page, it is compatible with my motherboard. Difference between my current RAM and this RAM is in latency and capacity. Both RAM kits are quad-channel. Will both of those RAM kits work with each other on my motherboard? Should I expect any problems? Is difference in latency and capacity going to cause any problems?

My computer specification:
*Motherboard: MSI X99S Gaming 7 X99 LGA 2011-3 (link: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X99S-GAMING-7.html#hero-overview)
*Processor: Intel Core i7 5820K 3.30GHz
*RAM: G.Skill DDR4 16GB (4x4GB) Ripjaws4 3000MHz CL15 XMP2 Red (link: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15q-16grr)
*Graphics: MSI GeForce GTX 980 4096MB DDR5/256bit
*HDD: WD Caviar 1TB WD1003FZEX SATA III 64MB Cache

RAM can behave odd sometimes. so unless you have 1 and the same kit there is no guarantee. But in general it will work, but the settings will be adjusted to the slowest link in the connection. For best possiblee chanche of working match the timings and speeds.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
