I have a Windows 10 desktop that is wired to a Linksys EA9500 router. Today I got a message from my ESET Smart Security that it found a new network and would I like to set it to home or public. This happened when the computer was sitting and I was using a different computer. I looked at the Network Map in the Linksys control panel and there was a second wired connection listed with the same computer name as my desktop and the same IP address, but with a MAC address of 00:00:00:00:00:00.

Is this something I should be worried about? I use this computer for work so I'm very careful with it in regards to keeping it safe. I haven't noticed anything else strange going on with it, nor do I see any system processes that I don't recognize.

I've only had the router for a couple of months. The firmware is up to date. I cleared the Network Map and restarted my desktop and the phantom second computer hasn't returned.
