what type of rgb strips are compatible with rgb headers on motherboards, and also are there splitters so i can use two strips (one at the top of the case and one at the bottom)

You can use standard SMD5050 LED's, Cable Mod and many others use those versions of the LED's. As for splitters you can get 4 pin type splitters for those LED's however you want to make sure you don't overload the header.
