HDD Slowing SSD On Boot Time

Fellow Techies,

I have tackled problems with a build that have made me want to slam my head against a cinderblock, but I prevailed. However, a Barraccuda HDD 4tb, is causing my boot time to go from 5-15 seconds to 45-60 seconds long. WTH!?! My 1tb HDD from WD Black Edition doesn't cause any issues. Can anyone give me some kind of idea as to why this is causing such problems. I deleted the data thinking maybe it was the problem but it wasn't The drive is clean. Should I contact the company and ask for a new drive? Thank you in advance.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

I found the solution to the slow boot for the ssd. The HDD had a image backed up to it. Once that was deleted, and the drive was formatted. then in 7 sec. the OS booted right up. Freaking weird. I will have to keep it detached until I want to run backups or need something off of it.
