I'm looking to start building a a home studio set up as I'm finally starting to take producing a bit more seriously.

I'm looking to purchase Rokit KRK 5 G3 Monitors and was wondering which DAC/Amp setup I would need. I've read online that the Scarlett 2i2 would power these well.

Currently all I use for producing are my Audio Technica ATH M50x plugged into my PCs soundboard as the Sony speakers I own colour sound quite strongly, but I aim to use speakers in order to have a wider sound stage when producing.

I produce electronic music (mixture of many genres) and so a microphone input is not a priority for me.

I appreciate any feedback.

I apologise if what I said makes no sense, I am in no means an audio expert hence why I'm here for advice.

Thank you.

You don't need an amp for active monitors as they are ... active (powered).

A 2i2 won't "drive" them since, again, they don't need external power. I don't recommend an interface if you are only getting it for the DAC.

I would get a Fulla 2 if you need a versatile DAC/amp/preamp on a budget.

Am now considering the M-Audio AV-42 monitors, would you recommend the same Fulla 2?
