Hello All,

So to bring in 2017 I am building a little server for basic file storage and eclipse che (this is the current plan, it could expand) and while I have access to multiple OS from Windows 10 to Server to Linux I am a bit un-decided on which I should use.

The programming side is all very basic stuff like Java and C.

I have been playing around with RDP a bit recently and to be honest I have to say its performance is good considering (Tested at max settings) which is making me lean towards Windows more than linux but of course I can just use SSH and basically build a VPS with Linux and it would likely be even better over VPNs.

How would you setup such a thing personally?

Thanks!

the rest is VMs

Slim Eclipse Che VM? I like that idea

Take it using Hyper-V?
