ye the link shows which slot I'm putting it in

Can I see the card at the slot location?

Can you take a picture and post it here? If you say that it's not sitting flush with the case, are you sure the card is actually in the slot?

I don't think it's seated down all the way.

I've managed to screw it in lightly just to hold it in place, should I boot my pc up to see if it's connected?

Yes, that would be a great idea.

Can't seem to find where to plug the actual gpu in, looked at diagrams but can't see shit.

The GPU goes in the slot that you connected it to. What is the blue latch for?

I'm talking about the PCI express cables

The power supply cables should be labeled VGA or something similar. What power supply are you using?

Is this a pre-built PC?

Ye

If the power supply has "enough" wattage, it should come with at least one six pin connector.

Hmm looks like  buying a new power supply.

Still though, I would advise you to check to ensure that the card is fully seated in its slot.

What is that blue latch for on the motherboard?

seems to be connected to the fan cooling the cpu.

The angle made it look a bit odd. But yeah, it's AMD's mechanism for mounting their stock coolers.

ya reckon i should just buy a new case and power supply? possibly even a cpu.

I would just stick with buying a new power supply for now, unless you think you need a new case. The CPU is likely sufficient for the 1050 Ti.
