should XMP be turned on or off? i have 16gb ddr4 memory at 2133MHz

XMP is for Xtreme Memory Profile.

It will overclock your ram automatically using Intel pre-made profile.

If your RAM is capable of higher frequency, you can turn it on for faster ram speed.

If your ram kit supports only 2133 mhz, then, useless to turn it on.

alright

your ram speed is 2133 so... useless to turn xmp on for you.

Let it off.

IF you had a kit like this one per exemple : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233849&cm_re=ddr4_3000mhz-_-20-233-849-_-Product

Turning XMP on would overclock the RAM to 3000 mhz...

Don't worry tho.. theres no "real" improvement on higher mhz speed so...

Keep it off and ejoy ur i7 :)

depends if your motherboard supports XMP, and depends if your ram has any XMP profiles.
