So, I was given some money for Christmas and right away I started thinking about updating some of my computer hardware, but then I though, what's the point of getting new hard ware if I'm just going to have to view it all on my not-so-great monitor. I don't know if I'm right about this or not, so I want to check with y'all first.

Currently I use a HP w2207h (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=HP+w2207h) which has been working OK. It's not that fantastic, but I got it for free so I can't complain.  I'm thinking about upgrading to this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MYTH9U/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F8UO6W12I19A&coliid=IQ7CPN8TJZYFU&th=1).

Is it worth it? Will I see any difference in gaming? (Fallout 4, Watch Dogs 1 and 2, The Division, ect.)

im pretty sure there's still a sale for a 22 inch asus freesync monitor for about 150 usd - consider that maybe? the viewsonic monitor doesn't exactly look nice - the form of it just bothers me - but yes, there will be a noticeable difference during gamign

I don't suppose you would have a link to the sale? Personally the form doesn't bother me to much, I'm going to use my Vesa mount stand so I won't have to deal with that cheap glossy stand.

If you can stretch your funds a bit you can go with something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009642

It's a 24" 1ms 144hz monitor for $180 on sale until next Thursday.

You can also get it from amazon for the same price as well.
