Capturing games with LGP2

OK I just bought a Avery Media LGP2 to capture games not streem and a Yeti mic. How do I set these up with a MacBook pro 2009 or is this MacBook to old to work with these new techs if it is what PC build will be good. MY budget for a new pc is $6500. Also what software is good to capture and edit in post best way possible.

I haven't owned a PC in 7 years and I am not a PC user but high end Mac's are expensive compare to high end PC build. Also I am not using MacBook for gaming this is my first time building a PC.
