HyperX Cloud braided cable has broken

Hi! I have used my HyperX Cloud for a year now (well, year and 3 days to be exact) and noticed that there is a cut on the cable. The inner "regular" cable is now twisted and is super annoying and probably causes tangling. I attached a picture to the post. If I just cut the rest of the cable, doesn't it then just unravel? I've tried pushing it back in, but it's no help.
