GTA V Question?

Whenever I go to switch characters(left alt) it asks me if I would like to record something or cancel recording instead of giving me a choice of characters to switch to.  It does this occasionally and it's very annoying.  How do I disable that?

 

Btw the platform is PC

But that's the only thing to hit-it doesn't give any other option sometimes.
