I am about to get a 1080p 75hz freesync monitor, not only because it is freesync but also for other good features.

The thing is that I cant't decide between 2 graphic cards, a nvidia one that averages 60 fps or so at 1080p, and an amd one that averages aproximately 48-55 fps with the same settings. I don't want to say which graphic cards they are because that would lower the attention on my main doubt.

Is freesync worth losing ~10 fps?

Both cards are pretty much same price, and I'm not planing on changing the monitor, so what do you think?

Thanks in advance for replying.

you cannot use freesync with NVIDIA cards. you have to get an AMD card to use freesync.

That is what he said, and not his question.

I don't think it is worth the 10fps, but that is because i am not sure how well it works. I would play safe and go 60fps. You cant reach the 75hz mark if your average is 48-55 anyways. (Is it an aoc monitor? If so, i want that one too ^^)

Yes, it is the aoc monitor.

The thing is that I've read that having no screen tearing and at the same time no input lag looks really really good.

If I got the AMD card I would probably lower the graphic settings a little bit, but I actually wanna hear from people who have used freesync/g-sync and who could tell me if it really makes that big of a difference or not, because the AMD card has some small stutters and I might be more comfortable buying it if screen tearing is not that big of a problem.

Ah allright, i understand. Good luck with the desicion!

So, you've used the same card and monitor with and without g-sync and you think it looks a lot better?

Edit: Sorry, i wanted to quote Praesi and got it wrong.
