New display wanted (advice)

So I've got my LG UC87 21:9 as my main display and an LG 27" 1080P display as my secondary. I tend to do 2 side by side windows a lot, especially on my secondary display while I'm downloading games or watching a video 1080P still offers enough real estate for this BUT I'd like more pixels. I also edit video all of which is 1080p native right now and if I upgrade I won't have to get rid of my 1080p monitor but I will have to put it away for some time until I get a larger desk. I've been considering 4K or 1440, thoughts? 

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)
