Odd ethernet failure on boot

benga

This started happening randomly a week ago. Whenever I boot it'll say I am not connected to the internet. Sometimes if I wait a minute it'll connect itself, sometimes if i re-login to the computer it'll connect itself sometimes if I just unplug and plug the ethernet a few times from the back I/O it'll connect.

Any idea what this could be?

SOLUTION: I realized in the bios on my boot priority, the network was last once i pushed it up and placed it to boot after my drives the problem was resolved.

Have you tried setting your IP address manually? Could be a DHCP problem.

Indeed, this may be a routing problem.  Try resetting your router, hub, or switch.  Then again if we follow the OSI model and try level 1 first...  Check the connection with another ethernet cable!

Starting from the middle instead of the begining.

Laws only govern the honest.
