Hi everyone! I just got a really cool mixer for Christmas and was hoping for some help on what adaptors I would need. I got this mixer from my parents, https://www.amazon.com/Freeboss-UM-33-Channel-Playback-Interface/dp/B01K1RFK6A , but my current headphones and speakers done work with it. My headphones are the hyper X cloud 2, would this adaptor work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000068O3T/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

My speakers are cheap speakers from goodwill with rca connectors. Would this adaptor work? https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-GPR-101-inch-Adaptors-pieces/dp/B000068O3S

My main concern is I don't know what the difference between trs and ts is. I also don't know which one else of those would work for my mixer. Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!

Well, that probably would work, since there's no codec change or anything required. yeah, go for it!

Really? Yay! So it doesn't matter that the adaptor for the headphones is trs and the adaptor for the speakers are ts? They should both work with those outputs?

You have the right adapters, a stereo TRS for the headphones and two mono TS adapters for the speakers.

Edit: If your headset only has a single 3.5mm plug and didn't come with a 4-pin (TRRS) to 2x 3-pin (TRS) adapter you'll also need one of these to separate the mic and headphone audio.

It does matter and that is what you need.

You use trs headphone out for headphones, and dual ts mono outs for stereo speakers.

Would I need an amp or anything to make my headphones and speakers work while plugged into this mixer? Sorry I know literally nothing about audio stuff.

Oh! I would have to buy that even if I planned on using an XLR mic instead? I don't plan on using the headset microphone at all, so I didn't think I had to separate them. Or is that not the case?

If you are using your headphones and speakers from onboard now, then you are good.

Nope, you are right.

You only need it if you're using the headset mic.
