NZXT H440 Help

So this case has a fan controller system on the back. It's very confusing! The image of the manual below shows an extension cable with 4 pins while all the other fans connected have 3 pins. The 4 pin and 3 pin on the board are all labeled as Fan. There's also a PWM that goes into the CPU connector on the mobo. 

 

Look at the image of the board. The area on the manual that tells me where to plug in my cpu fan is already used by a sys fan. 

 

So what is the extension cable for? Where does my CPU fan connect?

What motherboard do you have?
