I'm planning on purchasing a Nexus 5 and Nexus 11 at some point in the future, and was wondering how I should go about choosing a stylus. I understand that neither of the two devices are released yet, I just don't know much on the subject (ie. if a particular stylus works better on certain devices). If there is this sort of restriction, what stylus would you choose for a (current) Nexus 4/10 (since the screens will likely be similar), what would you expect would work well on the two upcoming devices, and what are the reasons that you chose that stylus?

I will be using the tablet for math homework and that sort of thing, and possibly the phone if it's more convenient (How well would a 5" phone work for this? Will an 11" tablet really be worth the extra expense just for school work?). My budget is undefined, it really depends on whether the cost is warranted (from what I understand, stylus' will last multiple generations of devices).

I would get the capacitive touch screen ones:

The bottom is soft rubber.

I would not use a stylus.

I have a capacitive touch stylus on the back of my pen. Which is out all the time when using my tablet. The only time I use it is when I have the pen in my hand and it's easier to flip it over. I would never, ever consider using a stylus for my phone.

However, silly this may seem, just keep your hands dry. It's smooth and doesnt leave visible marks. You can't lose your hands anywhere.

What do you mean by a pen? A regular ink pen with a capacitive touch stylus on the back of it? Never heard of one of those.  :P

I would never recommend a stylus for a device that doesn't have support for proper styluses, such as the Galaxy Note range with their S-Pen.
