I vote for the EVGA 1070 SC. Its cheaper than the others except for the gigabyte g1. Evga however are known for great customer support and if im not mistaken, EVGA's cooler is quieter than Gigabytes's.

Why don't you go for a cheaper brand like MSI? MSI seems reliable.

this is the PCPP list for GTX1070 cards in New Zealand. Nothing MSI i'm afraid. Thanks though

I see, but can't you order it internationally?

I would prefer not to. Shipping is quite expensive. US $50 + normally

EDIT: I just would prefer to buy locally. the above reason is only one out of many factors

Then there'd be import and added tax costs, so it'd probably end up more expensive than the available options.

@BenoitWW The G1 Gaming card has the best value for your money. 3 fans, RGB, and a nice black backplate, and a mild factory overclock for under $700 NZD is a great price. :)

My Daily Driver:

Acer Predator Helios 300
»« Intel Core i5-8300H »« 16GB DDR4 RAM »« NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB »« Silicon Power A60 512 GB M.2 SSD »«
Toshiba PC L200 1 TB HDD »« Microsoft Windows 10 Home »«

would the ROG strix outperform it though? i understand the G1 is value for money, but will the strip outperform? it has higher clock speed..

It will, but definitely no more than 3 FPS. A 40 MHz difference is literally almost nothing. :)

@BenoitWW As you can see in this video, the Strix doesn't even outperform the G1 Gaming by 1 FPS. As the dude in the video says, your chances of winning the silicon lottery is higher when purchasing Gigabyte cards (cards which are able to OC higher than the majority of cards). :)
