As in the switch types?

Lots of people and guides say red is best for gaming. I personally cant stand using reds for anything and would prefer a membrane kb over cherry reds. But at the end of the day, blue all the way for me.

When in doubt, re-format.

I can't stand not having the audible and haptic feedback from blue/green switches. My hands tremble when I think about using the lighter switches :S

If you're trying to decide what you want, I'd recommend trying to find a way to use them yourself. No amount of understanding the theoretical differences will tell you which one you enjoy using the most. If all else fails, key samplers exist and while they aren't priced wonderfully, I'd rather spend the $9.99 than take a wild guess on a $100+ keyboard.

Personally I understand the reasons why MX Reds are widely considered "the best" for gaming, but I still prefer something with a bit more resistance. I like blue, brown, and maybe black switches myself.

In short -

Reds are a smooth, quiet, fast push.

Blacks are reds with more resistance

Blues are a clicky, tactile feel. Slower push, with a fealable bump partway through a push, and a distinctive click.

Greens are blues with more resistance.

Brown - Quiet, tactile switch. Similar ot blues, minus the click

Clear - Browns with more resistance.

I recommend browns for quiet typing and gaming, reds for pure gaming, and blues if you like the clicking noise.

Couldn't agree more. I also need the bump. I cant type a single word without typos on reds because my fingers have no idea when I'm actually pressing the keys.

OP, at the end of the day, everybody has different preferences, and I would recommend going into a computer store and try typing on the different models before you actually buy anything. Of course, you can only do this if you have stores near you...

When in doubt, re-format.
