GTA V Crashing

I just built my gaming pc yesterday, and I downloaded GTA V, which I optimized under GeForce Experience, and I've downloaded all the latest drivers. I'm running an i7 6700K on the msi Krait Gaming 3X mobo, with an Asus 1070 Strix gpu. My graphics in GTA V are fine, but when I try to change anything in there, it automatically crashes. No matter what. I've tried a lot of solutions such as optimizing the game, or deleting the settings file. I need help, I'm pretty sure it can go above 60 hz, especially because of the 144 hz monitor I have..

Yes, it was. I turned it off, and I think it worked.

V-Sync will drop you to the lowest threshold that you're achieving. If the issue comes back, make a post and I'll help in the morning unless someone else can.
