My Modmic 5.0 (Just released version) arrived, let me know if anyone has any questions.

Antlion Modmic just came out with their newest version a few weeks ago. This version is a bit more modular than the past versions. One of the key differences, is that the Microphone has a Omni-Uni switch, with two actual mic elements in the boom.

Edit - Added Recordings:

Here is a general recording I made of the modmic using their $10 USB adapter:

Here is a keyboard test of UNI vs OMNI directional settings:

I also got the USB adapter, and have an adapter for xbox controller use.

Ask me whatever.

IMO, yes.

Here is an audio review/test (he also has a 4.0 review with sound tests) Between the mic just sounding better (to me) in general, it also is both UNI and Omni-directional, so, it can sound better depending on your surroundings.

For reference, I am replacing an AT2020 with it. The AT2020 is amazing, and if I actually made videos/streamed I would have kept it. But this sounds just as good through VOIP (teamspeak, discord, etc) and almost as good for the occasional video. However it wins in the practicality department, as I can use it on my phone, xbox, etc and not need a boom arm in front of me.
