Ok, so this is getting a little complicated ;(, do i need adapters? or can i just put the compression/barbed fitting straight to the component? and with the threads theres 2 kinds, inner and outer threads [G1/4] Whats the difference??? its getting me light headed and frustrated idk what i need to buy!

Also the fittings says for compression fittings compatibility 3x8in. 5x8. But i don't see that on aquatunings website??

Okay. First, aquatuning is a European company, so they use metric measurements (mm). Your tubing has it's size listen in inches. Go look for other retailers for your fittings, do conversions (beware of inexact conversions though, sometimes it may make a difference. Do not recommend this method), or buy different tubing. Is there a reason you're using aquatuning??

Okay. Almost all fittings are G 1/4" threaded. This is a standard thread used by most PC watercooling gear, and this more or less means they WILL screw into your components. So unless you need an angled fitting like you asked about earlier, no you do not need adapters (assuming you're using normal watercooling parts and not some weird funky shit). The other numbers (inner and outer diameters) are the tubing compatibility sizes. If they are the same for the tubing and the fitting, they work together!

Aquatuning was just recommended to me by a youtuber. whoops. wasn't aware of them using different measurements than we are using, its 2:20 am :x. where do you suggest i buy fittings?

And for the "inner and outer" g1/4 threads i figured its just so they can screw together, christ idk why i started stressing out over that.

Also with the angled fittings, how come there are angled compression/barbed fittings too then? are the adapters just to make as many angles as i want? if thats all then i wouldn't need it then unless i was deciding i need some hardcore angle configuration before the tubing.

Followup question: where do i find clamps? or do they come with the barb fittings?

The adapters are a thing so you can use them in different builds with different tubing, buy a bunch and decide where you need them later, and sometimes to chain them together or create offsets, etc.

The angled fittings are also useful if you know exactly what you need. But if you plan on continuing to watercool forever (DO IT), then I'd get adapters, for the versatility.

yes lol, also is i don't see any problems with the measurements from aquatuning with their radiators/resorvoirs/pumps, safe to use those?

Yeah, even in the US people use mm to measure radiators, and all those ports on them are going to be G1/4" anyways.

One thing though, don't get the proprietary aquatuning pumps, get a DDC or D5, they sell those too

I recommend the fittings I linked earlier, from EK. As price goes, fairly average, and you can get them from local retailers (depending), or shipped from EK directly to anywhere. They are great quality, and boy do they hold tubing down tightly. Yes, the compression rings come with them. And I do recommend compression fittings over just barbs and clamps.

To address your question though, barbs and clamps can be sold together or separately, and you could find them at PC stores with watercooling stuff, or even hardware stores.

Why get a DDC or D5? what about this one? its aesthetics are pleasing and it was what i was going to go with anyways before i decided to go with custom instead of aio watercooling

You said "this one", but didn't link anything.

Also they are by far the most reliable units, and are recommended by pretty much every person who watercools. Just get one of them and a pump top, those will make them look nicer.

Oh jeebus don't do that. It's so ugly... (and the pump isn't as "tested" as the DDC/D5).

Go get yourself an EK Supremacy water block, those are the industry standard, pretty much everyone uses them. Then, do what I said for a pump and grab a D5 or DDC (I prefer the D5 myself).
