Need help choosing between 2 laptop

Hi , I am finishing my high school and soon I'll be my study to a college . I'll need a laptop for study and some light gaming . I researched a bit and found this laptop will suit me quite well for the task , the HP Pavilion 15 and Dell Inspiron 14 . However I cant find a review for the laptop with the same spec as listed on the seller website. I prioritize the speed , storage and battery life and I am not looking to play hardcore game on it.Some CSGO and Dota2 is good enough on medium setting.

Can anyone with the experience of these laptop help me choose the right one? I'm from Malaysia and my budget is around RM3000 , if someone can recommend a better option that will be great. Also , if I were to go with any of these 2 , should I go for the I5 or the I7 variance ? Is the I7 worth for paying more?

If you can live without an optical drive I would recommend you to choose the HP laptop.

The better display resolution is a big point in my decision.

But I do not know If you will have much pleasure playing on them because the processors do not seem to be that good and there is also less ram to run games smooth.

 

Maybe you should invest a bit more?

Im actually open to any laptop but with how flooded the laptop market are I cant determine which laptop should I go for ,
