When you turn the computer on, does it POST and are you getting any beep codes?

Where'd you buy the dongle from? I've had a very nasty experience with one of these, somehow killed the OS so i had to reinstall Windows... was a nightmare.

No beep codes and bought it from a shop in sim lim square (i live in singapore btw). It sometimes boot to windows and then it turn off, it turn on again and went into recovering pc mode. Before i could even click on anything, it shut down and soon i have a mini rave party where the lights just turn on and off.

Ahuh... if you have a system installation disc, boot to that and use the recovery tools to try and restore your computer to an earlier restore point.

Yeah...sounds like some conflicting drivers that are causing instability in Windows.

Is there any way to remove that driver???

Go into safe mode and remove the driver.

Unfortunately getting to safe mode is a lot harder than it used to be, but it's possible.

Google will help you.

It's not a race to the bottom.

You'll need to uninstall the network driver.

Go to Add / remove programs and remove anything you installed with the wifi USB stick.

Well...i uninstall the realtek network adapter that was installed with the wifi stick, next moment when i restart my pc, it crash.........but it did last abit longer than usual. And it did not crash at all in safe mode..........so i would'nt think it might be psu fault. The weirdest thing is that it reinstall the network adapter back itself without me noticing.

Do you still have the stick plugged in?

Nope, but now i dont think it is the drivers fault, as it crash even in safe mode........i reinstalled the wofi stick, it now works but it will turn off randomly, i gonna assume it is a psu fault and might get a better one. But is there anyway to know how to check if the psu is working fine??

There are a few ways, although they should all be used together to make sure as each one only shows a fraction of the over all stability of the PSU.

A PSU checker. They can be pretty cheap.

Check your bios, there is normally a section that shows the 3v, 12v and 5v rails.

Put the PSU into another system and see if it works (do this last as you don't want to put a faulty PSU into a working computer)

It's not a race to the bottom.
