Modem settings for gaming

=_ZeRo_=

Hi all,

Just looking for some tips on how to setup my modem QoS traffic settings for gaming as I'm abit confused. Issue is when my partner is also using the network Netflix, YouTube etc I get bad lag while gaming on bf1.

I'm trying to setup so I get priority on traffic but the settings are not the easiest. My pc is connected to the modem via Ethernet while my partner is using wifi.

Link to image of settings any help would be great.

In traffic type select User Define -TCP or UDP and put the ports or range of ports (Example 10-20) of the games you are playing.

You might need to add multiple rules one for TCP and one for UDP.

And the other setting leave them default, try doing some research on what they are or try experimenting on what works and what works the best.

Hope that works

Hi Fed,

Thank you for replying. Most over that info went over my head lol. But I will keep mucking around with settings. Would be nice if they made QoS settings a little easier lol.

Cheers!
