Hi there @Stylized_Violence.
So you've connected the WD Black drive via an external enclosure just as you did with your external drive, is that correct? What software are you using, is it WD SmartWare and if "yes", which version?
If you're talking about an internally connected HDD and you want to use WD Smartware in order to backup your SSD and use the new WD Black as a destination drive, then I'm afraid you won't be able to do that. WD Smartware's backup. It's meant to backup your internal drives or Dropbox account to one of the compatible external WD drives/NAS devices.
