Advice on upgrading

So, I want to upgrade my EVGA GTX 980 to something in the GTX 1000 series. Would I see much of a performance gain from upgrading to a GTX 1060?

The 1060 is meant to have 980 performance for less cost and lower TDP. It would not help you for performance. You could get a 980Ti or 1070

Only improvement would be a lower TDP. Not worth the upgrade, save your money up for something higher up the food chain!

You won't go far wrong with that, they are solid cards, you will get a decent performance upgrade as well as long as you are going from a standard 980 and not the Ti edition.
