Phone Chagring Cooling

You know how Linus always says to trickle charge your phone over night? But what if you don't have the time? Behold the water cooled phone charging rig(pic), and it's little portable brother. I use an old aluminium heat sink block I put my phone's metal back on the flat side.

Anyone Water cooling Their phone?   My have a Redmi 2pro with QuickCharge2.0 so it does get pretty hot while charging.

With the cooling the large block gets a bit warm.

When I have the time I'll post some numbers - charging speed, temperatures. My theory is that when cooled the phone will charge faster. 

I think this would make a nice LTT video BTW.
What about plastic backed phones?

Glaass black Phones?

DBrand skinned phones(though Dbrand wouldn't necesserily like the conclusion...)

 

Do You  have any phones on battery lifetime when fastcharging with cooling?

i think you should use a metal USB plug and cool that. That has a direct connection to the batter and gets hot
