Fingerprints on cpu

Go to solution Solved by Naeaes,

Yeah. Clean it off. Thermal compound remover sounds fine for it. It would probably make zero difference right now but over time in the heat it would either create gas bubbles or a dried up layer.

Hi

I'm building my computer today, and I've already got a fingerprint on my cpu, should I bother cleaning it off? The only thing I have to clean it off would probably be thermal compound remover. Would that do the trick?

Thanks.

Cheers. I'll be sure to do that.
